Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 May 2026

This privacy policy describes how Dori Media (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information. We are committed to handling your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

Dori Media is operated by Adam Crouchley, based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

What information we collect

We collect personal information when you:

  • Book a discovery call through Calendly — we receive your name, email, phone number, business name, and any information you provide in the booking form.
  • Send us an email or message — we receive whatever you choose to share.
  • Visit our website — we collect anonymous analytics data including pages visited, time on page, approximate location (city level), device type, and how you arrived at the site.
  • Become a client — we collect business information needed to deliver work, including billing details, content for your project, and access credentials to platforms we work on for you.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 years of age.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and schedule meetings
  • Provide quotes and deliver projects
  • Send invoices and receive payments
  • Send occasional project-related emails and updates
  • Improve our website and understand how visitors use it
  • Comply with our legal obligations (tax records, etc.)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you’ve explicitly subscribed.

Cookies and tracking

We use the following tools on our website:

  • Google Tag Manager — manages our other tracking tags
  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymous traffic analytics
  • Google Ads conversion tracking — measures the effectiveness of our advertising
  • Calendly — for scheduling discovery calls (Calendly has its own privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy)

For Google Ads conversion tracking, we use a feature called “enhanced conversions” which sends a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your email address to Google when you book a call through our ads. This helps Google attribute conversions accurately. The hashed value cannot be reversed back into your email address.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Where your information is stored

Personal information you provide may be stored on:

  • Servers in New Zealand and Australia (our website hosting and tools we use to run the business)
  • Servers operated by Calendly, Google, and other tools we use, which may be in the United States or other countries

By using our website and services, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in these locations.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), strong passwords, and limited access to our systems.

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations (typically 7 years for client billing records, in line with NZ tax requirements).

Sharing your information

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers we use to run the business (e.g. Xero for accounting, Calendly for scheduling, Google for analytics)
  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law
  • Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers) as needed

We do not share your personal information with anyone else without your consent.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to information that’s wrong
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to hold
  • Make a complaint about how we’ve handled your information

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer:
