It’s nothing new, Facebook have always been clever in only letting a certain percentage of your fans see your statue updates.

Here’s why;
If you post content on your Facebook page and consistently get a good response, lots of interaction, Facebook consider you a good contributor, so your content is viewed by more people. On the other hand if your content is boring and everyone ignores you, only a very small amount of people will be shown your post.

Now, those who are not so good at using social media to it’s full potential can pay to get more views, but this is only more views. This is not the improved loyalty or or viral awareness that social media is really good for.
